In a recent episode of Going Deeper we explored the idea of being ‘living catechisms’ with the sobering truth that our students are watching. To be living catechisms means that we do need to give considerable thought to exactly what sort of witness we are providing. It’s not about striving harder and harder. That is the risk of the old heresy pf pelagianism.  What we need to do is to focus upon the truth that we need deep inner lives of prayer and silence and sacrament if we are to become the witnesses, the living catechisms that we are truly called to be.
